Obituary of David "Lew-Al" Cline
David Lee “Lew-Al” Cline, 64, of Waynesboro passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the Shenandoah Hospice House, Fishersville. Born November 4, 1959 in Virginia, he was a son of the late Kirkley Wallace and Rosa Mae (Garrison) Cline. David was employed by McKee Foods in Stuarts Draft where he was a reliable and faithful employee of 22 years. He was a lover of all animals, especially cats. Some of his greatest joys in life included writing, listening to 70s and 80s music, going for hikes and he knew all the mountains and creeks names, and the Spanish language as he spoke it fluently. Survivors include his three brothers, Steven Cline of Waynesboro, Paul Cline of Waynesboro, and Mark Cline and wife, Sherry, of Rockbridge Baths; nephews and nieces, Isaiah Cline of Nashville, TN, Jeremiah Cline of Nashville, TN, Isaac Cline of Waynesboro, Sunny Cline of Rockbridge Baths, VA, and Jenna Cline of Rockbridge Baths, VA; and great-niece, Hailey Cline of AL. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro. Following the visitation, there will be a procession from the funeral home to Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro for a 12:00 p.m. graveside service with his brother, Steven Cline, officiating.
