David Thomas Gauldin

David was born in Martinsville, VA to Joe and Eunice Gauldin on August 10, 1939. He married Katherine Louise Ackerman on June 20, 1964, in Durham, NC. David graduated from Bridgewater College. Dave, as he was known in the workplace, owned and operated numerous construction companies in the Waynesboro VA area for sixty years. David was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the US Army as a Staff Sergeant. He was member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Waynesboro, VA.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Joe T. and Eunice S. Gauldin; and brothers Robert, Larry, and Wayne Gauldin.

David is survived by his spouse, Katherine Gauldin; his three sons, David II (Teresa), Edward, and Michael (Kathy) Gauldin; brothers, Timothy, and Garfid Gauldin; his grandchildren by David II, Mary Elizabeth, Ashley (Jason), and David III (Meghan); by Michael, James Painter (Erin); and great grandchildren by Ashley, Jerimiah & Jonathan Brown.

In accordance with the family’s wishes all services will be private.
