Dewitt Dee Hutchinson

Born March 19,1941 he was the son of the late Sidney Grover and Frances C. (Wolfe) Hutchinson.

On July 19,1964 he married Myrtle Ann Snell, together they shared 58 years of marriage until her passing on April 1, 2022.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Hutchinson and two sisters, Kasey Hodge and Peggy Ross Fletcher.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Harper (Gary); sons Jason Hutchinson (Vonda), Travis Hutchinson (Nicole); sister, Fay O’rdel (Ralph); grandchildren, Jennifer Allen, Amanda Harper, Jacob Hutchinson (Kaitlyn), Dillon Hutchinson (Crystal), Justin Hutchinson (Taylor) Darrin Hutchinson (Mandi) and also leaves a bonus grandson, Bradley (Louisa) Roberts; great grandchildren, Noah, Ryleigh, Serenity and Julian Allen, Aubree Brogan, Remi, Sutton, Blayke, Logan, Kylee, Huxley, Hayden, Whitley, Cheyenne and Drew Hutchinson. He also leaves behind an additional great granddaughter and great grandson who are on the way.

Dee honorably served his country in the United States Army from November 3,1959 and was discharged from active duty on November 3,1962. He continued to serve in the Army reserves until October 31,1965.

Dee always enjoyed time with his family and friends and was the happiest in the woods or surrounded by his grandchildren and often blessed to be able to do both at the same time.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church, 30 Tinkling Spring Dr. Fishersville, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 31, 2026 also at the church with Gary Major officiating.

Those wishing to send flowers may have them delivered directly to the church.
