Doris Jean (Cash) Branch

Doris Jean (Cash) Branch, 79, of Lyndhurst passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Shenandoah House. Born May 11, 1934 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Franklin and Evie Elizabeth (Alford) Cash. Doris was a Wilson Memorial High School graduate. She worked as an Admissions Supervisor for the Waynesboro Community Hospital, retiring after many years of faithful service. Traveling and camping were among her most favorite activities and she most notably had visited every U.S. state except Alaska. She was a member of Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren, Waynesboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Billie W. Cash in 1951; and son, Gary Branch in 1996. Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Collie Branch; brothers, Curtis F. Cash and wife, Irene of Crimora and Ronnie L. Cash and wife, Patricia of Waynesboro; her children, Albert L. Branch and wife, Janet of Orlando, FL, Michael L. Willis of Orange, VA, Glenn Ray Branch of Waynesboro, Darrell W. Willis of Augusta County, Sharon E. Perrine and husband, Douglas of Ashburn, VA, Cynthia B. Chenault and husband, Robert of Roanoke, VA and Rebecca B. Kipreos and husband, Nicholas of Critz, VA; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; as well as many nieces, nephews and very special friends. A private graveside service will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Lee Branch, Kevin Branch, Michael J. Willis, Keith Branch, Wolfgang Chenault, and Billie Chenault. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 at Blue Ridge Chapel Church of the Brethren.
