She was born March 3, 1926 a daughter of the late Charles N. and Minnie Cook Scott.
She was a former employee of DuPont and later retired as a LPN from the Waynesboro Community Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mangus Woody and a son, Dale Woody.
Survivors include Brenda Ott, who she considered a daughter, Amanda and Jeremy Ott , who she considered as her grandchildren, three nephews; Rick and Steve Scott, Donnie Puckett, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Friday, December 20, 2013 at Augusta Memorial Park by Chaplin Murphy Terry.
There will be no public view or visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rodes United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, Afton, VA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
