Obituary of Earl G. Gale
Earl Glenwood Gale, 84, of Waynesboro passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Born December 29, 1937 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Joseph Frank and Sally Kate (Perry) Gale. Earl attended Wilson Memorial High School. Working in the automotive industry, he owned and operated Gale Enterprises for over 20 years. He was a member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge #1309. He will be remembered for his love of watching Gunsmoke and Bonanza, going bowling and playing bingo with his brother, Billy and sister, Alice, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Patterson Gale; and a brother, Richard Gale. Survivors include his three children, Garry Gale of Stuarts Draft, Tony Gale of Stuarts Draft, and Alecia Gale Brooks and husband, Stanley of Waynesboro; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Gale and wife, Charlsie of Stuarts Draft; sister, Alice Johnson of Sherando; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Bridge Christian Church, 1275 Old Goose Creek Road, Fishersville with Pastor Stacey Burkholder officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park, Waynesboro. Active pallbearers will be Joseph Earl Gale, Colby Hostetter, Sammy Berry, Ricky Gale, Joseph Randall Gale, and David Johnson.
