

Born March 3, 1937 in Virginia, he was the son of the late Edgar and Minnie (Coleman) Sullivan.
Earl’s life was dedicated to his family and his church. He was an employee of Process Engineering & Fabrication in Afton for many years. He was a member of the Crozet Sportsman Club. Earl had a love for cookbooks, collecting cast iron cookware and enjoyed fishing. Those who knew him will remember him as a collector of everything and a devoted friend to many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great-grandson, Ian Sullivan; as well as two brothers, Edgar and Ulysse Sullivan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Betsy (Braxton) Sullivan; children, Earl Monroe Sullivan, Jr. and wife, Diane of Crozet, Va, Michael R. Sullivan and wife, Sandy of Montross, Va, Rhonda Braxton of Fishersville, Yolie Williams and husband, Jeff of Fishersville and Jo Bruner and husband, Jack of Fishersville; grandchildren, Eric and Evan Sullivan, Katy and Kristie Sullivan, Sean Fry, Kelly and Kathy Williams and Tyler and Noah Bruner; great grandchildren, Kaydence, Eli, Gabe and Lilliana Sullivan; brother, William Sullivan and wife, Marie of Troy, Va; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Hebron Baptist Church, 66 Tanbark Dr., Afton. Following the graveside service, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Crozet Baptist Church, 5804 St. George Ave., Crozet, with the Rev. David Collyer and the Rev. Colleen Swingle-Titus officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
