Frances Elizabeth (Oliver) Brown, 86, of Waynesboro, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Augusta Health.
Mrs. Brown was born on August 19, 1935 in Tyro and was a daughter of the late James Leonard and Froney (Lawhorn) Oliver. She retired from KenBridge, and also worked for the Silver Dollar Restaurant in Waynesboro and Liberty House Nursing Home. Frances loved sitting out in her yard and spending time with her family. She enjoyed drinking coffee and reading a good book, going for rides on the golf cart, camping, and going out to eat. Her greatest enjoyment was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play ball and race.
Frances is survived by her children, Susan Fitzgerald of Nelson County, Randy Fitzgerald and fiancé Jackie, Kenny Brown and wife Roxanne, Donna Coffey and fiancée Danny, Matt Brown and wife Sabrina, all of Waynesboro; a sister, Inez Johnson, of Waynesboro; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and special neighbors who always looked after Maw, Cherie and Chris.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Burial will be held privately.
There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
