Ann, I first met Page when I went to work in my first job and was blessed to be employed as his secretary at VA Trailways. That was in January 1959 and then when I moved to Waynesboro 6 years ago, a highlight of any day would be to see his wonderful smile and hear his kind voice. Please know you and the family are all in my prayers as you continue to heal with wonderful memories of a very special man.

I've long thought that the best decision my parents made was to ask Page to be my godfather. Through early childhood vacations, golf rounds in Virginia, our Atlanta Braves-St. Louis Cardinals rivalry, great discussions over drinks and great meals, his wonderful wife Ann and three fine sons, my life was continually enriched by my godfather Page. On Friday, this world lost a great one, a man with a heart of gold, a man whose enthusiasm for life was absolutely contagious. Heaven is certainly now a better place with him there. I have tears in my eyes and terrfic, fantastic memories in my head. I also have Ann, Page, Scott and Brent in my thoughts and prayers.

Ann, we are so sorry for your loss. Page was a great man! I know that Dustin will miss him. We could always hear his truck when he would go out and get the paper in the mornings while we were hunting. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

I worked side by side with Page for 15 years. He was the finest man that I have ever encountered in life and served as both a mentor and role model for me. I feel so blessed to have known and shared so many memories with him....

Hello,
"Mama" Ruth Nelson was godmother to me and to my sister. My name is Sally Daniel Terry (now Morgan). Our mother was Catherine Buford Willis Terry, daughter of Vernon and Dr. William Duncan Willis of Crozet. I so distantly remember Mama Ruth as a warm and loving lady; I still have a silver hair clip she gave me so many years ago. We saw her seldom, but she was so very dear to our mother. I think Page came to our mother's graveside service at Monticello Mem Park in Charlottesville in 1999.
Our deepest love to the family of her son, Page, and all relatives. Thank you.

I worked with page at va trailways office in 1952-1960 and always thought he was the nicest man in the office. he had a wonderful smile and calming ways. It was wonderful to read his orbit today to see he never changed. what a special man! He will never be forgotten. Jane Marshall Haney,Richmond,Va.

I knew Page Nelson during my time working at First Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro. He left such a strong impression on me due to his kindness, caring, and devotion to the church. He was always volunteering - mowing the church lawn, serving on the Property & Maintenance Committee, and always being there when needed. I was very fond of Page. My sincerest and heartfelt condolences go out to all of his family and friends. He will be missed. - Heidi Marsh
