Born September 26, 1926 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Francis Lloyd Webb, Sr. and Carrie (Stoudemier) Webb. On November 23, 1968 he married Ottavia Mary Angelo. The two shared a blessed union of 50 years.
Francis was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Prior to retirement, he worked as the produce manager at A & P Grocery Store in Winchester, VA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served his country honorably during WW II. Following his service during WW II, he continued his military service with the Army National Guard until he was discharged in 1984.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary David Webb; and one brother, Nathaniel Webb.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his two children, Vikki Shackelford of Tallahassee, FL and Joseph E. Webb and wife, Tina of Dearing, GA; grandchildren, Joseph E. Webb, Jr., Tony Shackelford and wife, Christy, and Joni Webb; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah Shrader and husband, Bill of Hagerstown, MD and Theresa Gesford of Falls Church, VA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Rolo Castillo officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the church.
