Fred was well known to family and friends as a loving, generous, caring man who loved his family and trusted in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Born in New Jersey, Fred loved to travel and enjoyed the beauty of his adopted home of Virginia.
As a young man, Fred proudly served his country in the Army as a computer specialist at the Pentagon. Later in his life, he formed a successful computer consulting company until he retired. He was a proud patriot who served his country and his family well.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his first spouse and a daughter.
He is deeply loved and respected by his family and friends who will miss his love of life and his laughter. He is survived by his wife, Karen Knight of Fishersville, VA, two dearly loved grandchildren, daughter and son in law in Boston, Mass. Two dearly loved grandchildren, daughter and son in law in California, two brothers, a sister and many friends, especially Vince and Sandra Dipietro of PA.
Fred’s trust was in Jesus Christ and while we mourn the loss we know that there is a joyous reunion day to come.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
