Pat was born March 7, 1955, a son of the late Fred Lauterback and Evelyn Craig.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Percy and Ethel Craig.
In his earlier years he attended the Church of God and was formerly employed as a stocker and sales consultant with Lowes.
Survivors include a son, Dustin Patrick and wife Aimee Lauterback; two daughters, Whitney Lauterback and Angie Lauterback.
He also leaves his five grandchildren, Bailey Dulaney, Brenton Woodridge, Charleigh Dixon, Layla, Jamen, his companion for many years, Teresa Miller and his beloved dog, Jackson.
Pat had a competitive spirt and in his early years he traveled all over the United States playing Class A softball in ASA and USSSA Divisions. If you were around a softball field then, and to this day, you knew the name Lauterback. And to know him was to love him.
Pat also loved catching a good ballgame on T.V. and was a diehard Dolphins and UVA fan.
In most recent years, Pat enjoyed a good home cook meal and spending time with family. He was proud of his children and always eager to know each of his grandchildren’s latest achievements.
Following cremation a celebration of life service will be held by his family at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
