

Born October 18, 1945 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Calvin William and Virginia Nelson (Sprouse) Fisher.
Prior to retirement, Freddie was employed with Preston Trucking in Waynesboro for over 20 years. He was a member of Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, and playing horseshoes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann (Zimmerman) Fisher; brother, Rufus Douglas Fisher; and k-9 companion, Gabbi.
Survivors include his two sons, Alex Fisher and Fred Allen Fisher both of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Crystal Fisher Hughes, Dakota Fisher and Trevor Fisher and their spouses; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clyde Fisher and Bobbie Fisher both of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 767 Calf Mountain Road, Waynesboro with Rev. Merle Fisher and Trevor Fisher officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
