Frederick Fred Allen Conner

Born on July 11, 1944 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Dewey M. and Dorothy M. Conner.

Fred was the Vice President for D.M. Conner of Waynesboro, which was family owned and operated for over 50 years.

He was a member of the Waynesboro Moose Lodge.

He was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed throwing horseshoes, watching sports and grilling. In addition to being a friend to many, he was a fair, honest and stern man with a big heart.

Fred is survived by his wife, Sharon Conner; a son, Christopher Conner and his wife Missy; a daughter, Lori Cox; twin sons; Barry and Gary Conner; four grandchildren; Ryleigh Conner, Krystal and Tiffany Cox, and Jordan Griffin, a sister, Debbie Henderson, a brother, Benny Conner, mother-in-law, Henrietta Lafferty, father-in-law, Charles Clements, sisters-in-law; Connie Clements, Faye Coffey, Kaye Whitley and her husband Chris, nieces; Hailey Henderson, Heather Underwood and her husband Justin, Erica Santor and her husband Shawn, Katie Hopkins and her husband Rob, Nissa Teague, Kelly Conner, Aleah Whitley, Kayleigh Grace Coffey and Makenna Tucker Coffey, a great niece, Afton Love Underwood, as well as many friends that will truly miss him.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes by Pastor Earl Monroe officiating.
