Georg was one of the first people I met when I took a new job at the Governor's School. She was steadfast in her support of the school and me as both an administrator and friend. It is as a friend, I remember her best. We had memorable road trips to Richmond and other "bureaucratic utopias" when things were said that had to always "stay in the car." Always kind and honest, her advice helped me navigate my new job and often brought joy. I rarely saw her without a smile on her face and I will always picture her this way. I am sorry she died too young.

Roy, Kimberly, Jen & family - I am so sorry to hear about Georg, she was a genuinely wonderful person with a heart of gold. I loved working with her. I have many great memories of her; when I started looking at pictures this week I came across many of her. Some that made me smile are of her helping Joshua off the bus and holding his hand until he got in line on his first day of school, I think she was as excited about his first day as we were! She really made a difference here in Mathews.
