George William "Bucky" Bartley, Jr.

Born January 30, 1937 in Augusta County, he was the son of the late Ruby (Maybush) Bartley and George William Bartley, Sr.

Bucky was an honorably discharged Army Veteran, having been a member of 101st Airborne. He was a Staunton Eagles 680 member. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, playing cards, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Bartley; his children, Terry Bartley and wife Sharon, Tonya Morris, Bill Bartley and wife Dianna, Rusty Bartley and wife Jessica and Chris Bartley and wife Erin; step-children, Susan Brooks and husband Donnie, Mike Crider and wife Donna and Debbie Argenbright and husband Terry; brothers, Jerry Bartley, Danny Bartley and wife Debbie and Ronnie Bartley and wife Bobbie; sisters, Phyllis Howdyshell and husband Robert, Peggy Hughes, Shirley Pritt and Linda Swats; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Following his wishes, he will be cremated and a private burial will be held. There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
