Glenn Ray Branch, 69, of Waynesboro, passed away on Wednesday March 23, 2022 at Augusta Health.
Mr. Branch was born on May 22, 1952 in Waynesboro and was a son of the late Collie Branch and Jean Shirley (Bradley) Reid. Ray worked his entire career as a truck driver. He drove for Blue Ridge Grocery and later Fleming Foods. He retired from Blue Ridge Lumber. His greatest enjoyment came from fishing with his brother Robert and camping.
Ray is survived by his longtime companion, Dinah Vega; children, Michael Ray Branch and wife Carrie Jo of Marlinton, WV, Keith Allen Branch and wife Shayla of Stuarts Draft, Steven Ray Branch of Stuarts Draft, Daniel Simmons and wife Rebecca of Crozet, Nikki Moser of Waynesboro, Stephanie Clark of Waynesboro; siblings, Albert Branch and wife Janet of Waynesboro, Robert L. Reid, Jr., and wife Jeanette of Waynesboro, Alice Gaylor of Waynesboro, Becky Kipreos and husband Nick of Mt. Airy, NC, Cindy Chenault and husband Robert of Roanoke, Sharon Perrine and husband Doug of Ashburn, VA, Mike Willis and wife Judy of Charlottesville; nineteen grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Dawn Branch, and two brothers, Keith Allen Branch and Gary William Branch.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening March 29, 2022 from 6 until 8 PM at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
