

Born March 15, 1939 in Waynesboro, he was a son of the late Harry B. and Edith (Moneymaker) Ritenour.
Prior to retirement, he was employed by the former E.I. DuPont Company for 32 ½ years. He was a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church, Waynesboro. As an avid outdoorsman, he greatly enjoyed hunting. Harry and his wife, Janet, loved going for motorcycle rides and were able to visit 48 of the states.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Venitia (Ritenour) Moomau; and nephew, Shawn Moomau.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Janet L. Ritenour of Waynesboro; son, Jeffery L. Ritenour and wife, Tammy, of Colonial Heights, VA; two grandsons, Christopher Ritenour and wife, Savannah, and Chad Ritenour and wife, Megan; five great-grandchildren; nephew, Rocky Moomau and wife, Drema; two great-nieces; and a number of great-great-nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Augusta Memorial Park, 1775 Goose Creek Road, Waynesboro with Pastor Paul LeProvette officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the graveside.
