

She was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on August 30, 1931 to William and Viola (Maust) Farabaugh, who preceded her in death. She is the last member of her immediate family. After high school, she attended Northwest Bible College in Minot, North Dakota where she met her husband, Dwight. They were married on April 17, 1954 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania and began their life of ministry with the Church of God serving in various locations in Kansas, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Virginia. In addition to ministry, she was a woman of great faith and loved by everyone. She also served others during her nursing career at hospitals in Waynesboro and Hopewell, Virginia and was the church secretary at Stafford Church of God in Garrisonville, Virginia.
Helen is survived by her husband of 64 years, Rev. Dwight D. Aldinger; daughter, Sheila Merritt; son, Jeffrey Aldinger; granddaughter, Christina Willis (James); grandson, Andrew Aldinger (Rachel) and five great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Dylan Willis and Jolene, Hunter and Colt Aldinger.
There will be no public viewing and after an entire life of service to others, the family has chosen to have a private memorial.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital for Childhood Cancer, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105-9959.
