Helen Faye Hughes Yoho

Helen Faye Hughes Yoho, 86, of Park Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. She was born November 3, 1926, in Richmond, Virginia, a daughter of the late Horace Linwood and Phyllis Irene Wharton Hughes. She was a homemaker and an active member of West Waynesboro Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, George A. Yoho Sr.; sisters, Eleanor Helsabeck and Phyllis Powell; and a granddaughter, Carol Meeks. Survivors include four sons, Allen Yoho and wife, Debbie, of Roseland, Bryan Yoho and wife, Margie, of Florida, Guy Yoho of Richmond and Greg Yoho of Stuarts Draft; a daughter, Maria Wagner of Waynesboro; eight grandchildren, Alyssa Yoho, Gene Yoho, Jennifer Yoho, Melanie Yoho, Zachary Meeks and wife, Crystal, Chaz Meeks and wife, Amanda, Krista Yoho, George Yoho; and eight great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at West Waynesboro Church of Christ, 2212 Cortland Street, Waynesboro, by Chad Grondin, with a eulogy to be given by her son, Allen Yoho. A private family burial will follow at a later date in Jonesboro Baptist Church Cemetery, Roseland. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, and being the thrifty, yet generous, woman she was, it was Helen's desire that memorial donations go towards the expenses of Carol's children.
