Scott was born in Waynesboro, VA, the son of the late James and Doris Brady.
He lived in various parts of the country due to his father’s work. Scott managed a retail store in California, and taught skiing in Lake Tahoe, before settling back in Virginia. He retired from The Hershey Company after 34 years. It was at Hershey that he met his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth, who survives. Scott loved to fish, offshore at the Outer Banks, NC or fresh water locally. One of his greatest joys was being a Certified Observer for the International Game Fishing Association. He participated in billfish tournaments along the East Coast, Caribbean, and Central America.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Braxton; and his sister, Kathy.
Per Scott’s wishes, all services will be private.
