Jesse Orville Hood

Jesse Orville “Robin” Hood, 83, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on December 16, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Hood was born on April 11, 1930 in Rantoul, Kansas and was a son of the late Jesse and Cora Maude (Fabert) Hood. Robin was an entrepreneur owning and operating several businesses. He was known as the local “Stump Grinder”. Robin enjoyed square dancing, camping, telling jokes and riding motorcycles. He was a member of Circle 8 Square Dance Club of Waynesboro. Robin was an unforgettable person to everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Roberta Susan Jensen Hood in 1966 and Barbara Winkler Hood in 1980.

Robin is survived by his beloved companion, Constance M. “Connie” Harman of Stuarts Draft; special loving dog “Precious”; two sons, Randy Hood and wife Rose of Mechanicsville, VA, Jon Wolford and wife Cathy of Stanwood, OH; two daughters, Robin A. Hood of Lexington, SC, Raeleen Casto and husband Bruce of Cayce, SC; brother, Richard E. Hood of Centerfield, UT; sister Irene Shepherd of Newbury Park, CA; nephews Frank Hood and wife Pam of Missouri, Robert Breshears and wife Bertha of Missouri; Ray Tipton and wife Jana of Missouri; grandchildren, great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church in Stuarts Draft on Friday January 10, 2014 at 2 PM. The family will receive friends following the service.
