Joseph Phillip Bragg, 78, of Waynesboro passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at his home.
Born November 6, 1939 in Batesville, Va, he was the son of the late John William and Mabel Mae (Goolsby) Bragg.
Joseph was self-employed having worked in floor service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #2339 and the Waynesboro Moose Lodge #1309. Joseph was an avid outdoorsmen and enjoyed singing karaoke.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Kendrick, Myrtle Shifflett and Nancy Baber; and one brother, Billy Bragg.
Survivors include his special friend and companion, Betty Horn; son, Jeff Bragg; daughter, Cheryl Wharam and husband, Cameron; grandchildren, Hope Bragg, Kindra Parks, Shelby Wharam, Devon Wharam and Morgan Wharam; great grandchildren, Piper and Charlotte Parks; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. All who plan to attend are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.
There will be no formal viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
