John Henry Sprouse, 38, of Crozet passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

Born October 23, 1980 in Charlottesville, he was the son of Mary (Sprouse) Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents who helped raise him, Thomas W. and Laura Mae Sprouse. He was also preceded in death by his uncle, Thomas W. Sprouse, Jr.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife, Elizabeth Alvarez; his children, Jaden and Macie Sprouse; his stepchildren, Izabella and Joel Alvarez; brother, Dennis Sprouse and girlfriend, Ashley Hensley; special friends, Curry Mitchell, David Broughman, Roger Gregorie and Jon Boy Gordon; as well as a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., with Pastor Randall Black officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
