Johnny Ray Gayhart

Born October 29, 1954, he was the son of the late David Earl and Hazel (Blackwell) Gayhart.

Johnny retired from Whitesell Service, Inc.

In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, NASCAR racing, baseball and going to flea markets buying and selling.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Coiner) Gayhart on September 22, 2024 of which he longed to be reunited with.

Survivors include his son, Jason Gayhart and wife Talisa, as well as a number of grandchildren and nieces and nephews

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Amy Fetterman officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Tim Baker, David Burnett, Bart Charles, Jeff Coiner, Freddie Walker, and Richard Coiner, Jr.

Those wishing to attend the service may meet directly at the cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.

There will be no public viewing.
