In Memory of Joseph Conrad, Jr. March 21, 1935-April 15, 2013. Final Mission completed, and previous blessings given to him by the Rev. Kim Webster of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Waynesboro. This Marine Sargent (1952-1958) hugged his 2nd in Command Nancy Jean Dame Conrad, and embarked to his final destination. Joe left full staff and troops to carry on: sons, Joseph Third, Brian Hartley, David Andrew, Terrance Lee, Robin Gene and Scotty Jay; daughter, Heather Jo; mascot, Buttons; spousal support teams, Jenni, Sue, Christina, Heidi, Aimee, Shelley and Ray; grandchildren, Brian Jr (Bear), Ryan, Melissa, Nathan, Hannah, Austin, Ayla, Viktoria, Brittani, Taylor, Alyssa, Jordyn, Linsey, Sebastian, and Paula; great grandchildren, Gabriella Seabolt. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home, 618 W. Main Street. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made to Hospice of The Piedmont. Their tremendous care and attention guided the family through this most difficult time. Joe was a warm and loving ‘Commander’, and will be sorely missed by his entire team and mascot.
