Joseph Winston Meek

Joseph Winston Meek, 68, of Madison Heights, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013. He was a loving husband to Janice R. Meek for 46 years. A devoted daddy to Jannette Meek Wade of Madison Heights and Jaramy Winston Meek of Lynchburg; and a very proud grandfather "PaPa Joe" to Shane W. Wade and Chelsea K. Wade. He is survived by two brothers, Roy and Roger Meek; and two sisters, Barbara Whitt and Linda Tullos. He was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother, his mother and father. He was the manager at Advance Auto for 20+ years and Manager/ Salesman for 24 years at Oak Ridge Toyota. Joe never met a stranger. He loved his family and life. He was an avid fan of the Redskins, University of Virginia Cavaliers, and his grandson, Shane, throughout his football career thus far to the present at Amherst County High. He was a member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church and the 715 Moose Lodge. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013. at Randolph Memorial Baptist Church in Madison Heights. The family will receive family and friends at 10 a.m. one hour before the service.
