Judy (Lowery) Davis

Judy Ann (Lowery) Davis, 72, of Fishersville passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Shenandoah Hospice House. Born April 4, 1946 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and Juanita (Harris) Lowery. On May 5, 1962 she married Edward Franklin Davis and together shared a blessed union of 56 years. Judy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Waynesboro and the National MS Society. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Stanley Furniture. She enjoyed spending time with her family, word search puzzles and crafts. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Dooms and Connie Swann. In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Debbie Plecker (Harvey) of Bath County, Becky Davis (Bubbie Dean) of Crimora, Darin Davis (Barbara Hoy) of Waynesboro and Karen Gray (Lance) of Stuarts Draft; grandchildren, Amber Harris, Darrin Scott Davis, Timothy Kyle Davis, Justin Miller, Makenzie Gray, Kaitlyn Gray and Trenton Hale Davis; sisters, Ellen Lawhorne (Steve Chittum) of Stuarts Draft and Carolyn Jones (Kenny Wilfong) of Waynesboro; k-9 companion, Precious; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, 297 Zion Church Road, Waynesboro with Pastor Wesley Smith officiating. All who attend are invited for a meal and a time of fellowship with the family following the service at the church.
