Mr. Fitzgerald was born in Virginia on August 16, 1951 to Estelle Maime Fitzgerald and the late Sim Vernon Fitzgerald.
He is preceded in death by a brother Larry Allan Fitzgerald.
He is also survived by a daughter, Nicole Elizabeth Fitzgerald; two brothers, Jeffrey Wayne and wife Martha Fitzgerald of Stuarts Draft, David Scott and wife Debra Fitzgerald of Churchville; a sister Cathy and husband Julius Cross of Stuarts Draft.
Mr. Fitzgerald was employed at the McQuay Plant of Verona as an electrician for years.
