Leonard Buyny

He was born August 30, 1945, in Pennsylvania, a son of the late Frank and Louise (Slomkowski) Buyny.

Leonard attended Waynesboro Mennonite Church, was a former employee of General Electric and retired from Coors Brewing in Elkton.

He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and anything electrical.

Survivors include his wife, Becky Buyny; son, Ryan Buyny of Waynesboro; brothers, Frank Buyny of Memphis, TN and Thomas Buyny of Pittsburgh, PA.

Following a private family burial a celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Waynesboro Mennonite Church, 1801 Monroe Street, Waynesboro with Pastor Brian Law officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

The Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes has been entrusted with arrangements.
