Linda E. Hunt

Linda Virginia Hunt, 68, of 65 Oxford Road, passed away early Wednesday July 17, 2013 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

She was born June 29, 1945 in Harrisonburg, a daughter of the late John Winfield and Margaret Price Earman, Sr.

She retired from the Transportation Department of the Fairfax Public School System and was member of Fishersville Baptist Church where she was a member of the WOM Group.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Earman, Jr.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bob Hunt, a son, Tim Hunt of Staunton, a daughter, Lori Hunt Taylor and husband Andrew of North Carolina, two sisters Sudie McComas and husband Tom of Waynesboro, Pat Hensley and husband John of Stuarts Draft, five grandchildren; Rachel and Emily Hunt, Erin, Abbey and Lindsey Taylor.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Fishersville Baptist Church by Pastors Steve Parker and John Hamric.

Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Hensley, Mike and Jimmy Podgorny, Marcus Hevener, Todd Horne, Darrell and Dean Earman and Kenny Justice.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sonshine-Homemakers Sunday Class.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 PM Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
