

Lovisa Ann Prescott, 64, of Waynesboro finished her earthly struggles and was called home the evening of Tuesday, October 26, 2021 to join her Lord and Savior. Through the glory and grace of God, Lovisa’s brother, Alan Prescott from Ohio, was able to be with her in time to embrace her as she peacefully departed from us.
Born July 30, 1957 in Indianapolis, IN she was the daughter of the late William Gage and Mary Jane (Lewis) Prescott.
Lovisa was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church of Waynesboro. As a church member, she will be remembered for diligently sending cards to other members and knitting prayer shawls for those in need. Lovisa was employed with the City of Lynchburg for over 15 years where she worked as a warehouse manager. She later worked for Auto Appraisal Group where she handled data input. She was an avid cross-stitcher, enjoyed reading, working puzzles, painting with both oil and acrylics and creating stained glass. She will be affectionately remembered as a loving sister and friend to many.
Survivors include her two brothers, Lansing Everitt “Lance” Prescott of Saugerties, NY and Alan Victor Prescott and his true love, Shelly Prospert of Findlay, OH; close friends, Evelyn Cotton and Lea Ann Cotton of Waynesboro; and her “Aunt Maddie” (Madeline Key) of Hurt, Va.
In lieu of a service, a drop-in visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 720 14th St., Waynesboro.
