Mabel Hensley Reed

Mrs. Reed was born in Albemarle County on February 28,1935, a daughter of the late Simeon E. and Eva (Birckhead) Hensley.

She was a homemaker and a member of West Waynesboro Church of Christ in Waynesboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Reed, Sr., as well as three brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth W. Reed, Jr., and wife, Lisa of Middlebrook, Gary W. Reed and wife, Sandy of Waynesboro; sister, Betty Ann Marshall and husband, Sidney, of Charlottesville; four grandchildren, Kimberley Anne Reed, Matthew Wilson Reed and wife, Christina, Michele Renae Reed, Sarah Elizabeth Reed and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Jackson Reed and Christopher Wilson Reed.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Augusta Memorial Park with Chad Grondin officiating.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Those wishing to attend the service may meet directly at the cemetery.
