She led a full life that began on a farm in Dayton, Ohio in pre-WWII America with a loving mother and father and three younger sisters.
Marcia started a family of her own with her husband Kenneth Byrnes Winfield in Buffalo and spent the next 30 years raising five kids in suburban Ohio and Maryland.
Later in life, she fulfilled her passion for music through her service as choir director at First Presbyterian Church in Troy, OH, Interfaith Chapel at Leisure World in Silver Spring, MD, and Westminster Canterbury in Winchester, VA. She also served for numerous charitable causes; most notably designing and creating hundreds of quilts for children through St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Now she moves on, reunited with Ken, the love of her life.
Marcia is survived by sister Marilyn Nall; her five children - Ken Winfield III (Mary Lou Winfield), Steve Winfield, Ted Winfield (Judy Winfield), Betsy Winfield (Dale Dietsch), Chip Winfield (Farida Marpaung); seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She will always be remembered as someone whose life revolved around family, faith, friends, and for the selfless nature that guided her amazing journey.
We love you, Mom, rest easy.
