Marjorie Ann Jernigan

Marjorie Ann Jernigan, 78, of Waynesboro went to her heavenly home on Monday, July 9, 2018. Born October 28, 1939 in Augusta County, she was the daughter of the late Lacy A. and Ethel Naomi (Garrison) Sutler. Marjorie was a woman of faith and loved the lord with all her heart. She will be missed by all those who knew her as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Olden Jernigan; son, Tony Roberts; and brother, Lacy Sutler. Survivors include her daughter, Evelyn Taylor Laughlin of Waynesboro; sister, Connie Swisher and husband, Larry of Staunton; grandchildren, Kristin Lathan of Jacksonville, NC, Jonathan Taylor of Waynesboro and Lindsey Taulbee and husband, Andrew of Jacksonville, NC; great-grandchildren, Michael Taylor of Crimora, Noah Taulbee and Thomas Taulbee of Jacksonville, NC; nephew, Larry Swisher, Jr. and wife, Crystal of Raleigh, NC; nieces, Brandi Johnson and husband, John of Staunton, Desi Barton of Staunton, Charlene Cline and husband, Steve of Crimora and Starliss Carter of Staunton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Billy Curry officiating.
