
Mary Tucker Everitt, 77, of Love, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Avante of Waynesboro. She was born in Roanoke, Virginia on December 1, 1937, the only child of the late James William and Judith Madeline Henderson
.
Mary was a simple woman. Those who knew her will remember her giving heart, welcoming ways, and her ability to take care of all of her family members. Mary was a “go getter”, and saw to it that the job was done to the best of her abilities. For the last five years of Mary’s life, she lived at Avante of Waynesboro, where she blossomed into a social butterfly. She greatly enjoyed singing along with the Hebron Church Choir every Thursday, playing BINGO with her fellow residents and serving as President of the Resident Committee
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Lavene Everitt and her nephew, Anthony Everitt. Survivors include her brother- in-law, Shelby Lee Everitt and wife, Nell of Roseland; sister-in-law, Lucy A. Everitt of Love, two nephews, Ronnie Everitt and wife, Sarah of Love and Paul Everitt and wife, Carol of Staunton; two great nieces and four great nephews; great great nephew, Jameson Tanner.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 14, 2015 at Mountain Top Christian Church Cemetery with Pastor Billy Coffey officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Waynesboro Chapel at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
