Nancy Sandridge McDaniel

Nancy was born in Waynesboro to Ruby Sandridge and Dennis V. Sandridge Sr. on November 28th, 1935. She graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1954, and worked part time at Leggett, H&R Block and Kroger, but most of her working life was spent at home, raising her family and running her household. In her spare time, Nancy loved the beach, making multiple trips per year to Myrtle Beach with family and friends. She also loved shopping for antiques, going to flea markets and auctions, and visiting Big Lots and Goodwill. Nancy believed in the art of the deal, and was always on the lookout for a good one.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers, Denis Sandridge Jr, Melvin Sandridge; and a sister, Dreama McDaniel

Nancy is survived by her husband of 72 years, “Taze” McDaniel of Waynesboro; her sons, TC III and wife Cathy of Waynesboro, Derek and wife Tammy of Waynesboro; daughter, Cindy Mayfield and husband Doyle of Crimora; as well as her grandchildren, CT Weade and wife Tiffany, Paige Hensley and husband Timothy, Christopher McDaniel and wife Stephanie, Cory McDaniel, and Taryn McDaniel and husband Doug. In addition, Nancy is survived by her great-grandchildren, Alexis, Mason, Leah, Kyndal, Jackson and Cameron; as well as her nieces, Tina Ortiz and Dianne Bell; a nephew, Phil and Susan Sandridge; her special friends, Butch and Terry Thompson, Mary Ruth and Richard Smith; and her “beach buddies.”

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, October 23rd, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Woods officiating.
