Nicholas "Nick" Dean Lowery

Nicholas Dean “Nick” Lowery, 28, of Stuarts Draft, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 9, 2019.

He was born in Waynesboro on September 10, 1990, the son of Arlena Nichols Lowery and Russell Lowery.

Nick attended Stuarts Draft High School where he excelled in both football and baseball. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Nick loved spending time with his family and was most importantly known as a loving father, brother, son, and friend to all. He was most recently employed by Hershey of Stuart Draft and in earlier years at Target Distribution.

Nick was preceded in death by Johnnie Calvin Lowery, Charlene Mae Lowery, Henry Frazier Nichols, and Chad Anthony Mays.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by the mother of his children, Yolanda Holt; children, Aidean Christian Lowery and Aryian Bryson Cole Lowery; special friend, Chrissy Agee and children, Riley Watts and Addisyn Johnson; twin brother, Jonathan Lowery; sisters, Ryan Lowery and Amanda Lowery; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Mountain View Mennonite Church, 55 Love Rd, Lyndhurst, VA, with Pastors Earl Monroe and Chuck Balsamo officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Russell Lowery, Jonathan Lowery, Ricky Lowery, Franky Lowery, Dustin Fitzgerald, Aaron Ramsey, Josh Weaver and Matt Weaver.

Honorary pallbearers will be Seth Hatter, Makenna Lowery, Joshua Hutchinson, Aiden Lowery, Skyler Hutchinson and Courtney Lucas.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the church prior to services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a savings account in Nick’s children’s names at City National Bank in Stuarts Draft.

The Lowery family would like to extend a special thank you for all the support and condolences they’ve received.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.

I really don’t have a memory of Nick not smiling, and especially with his boys. He loved them so much and they loved him. Aidean definitely looks so much like him. Every time i see him i see his daddy. I will continue to pray for the whole family. Rest In Peace Nick

My Thoughts& Prayers go out to All of Nicks Family and Friends,Prayers for Comfort and Understanding! So good to see all these Great pics of him, ESPECIALLY with his boys! Nick had Soooo much Love for them, and these pics Truelly show it and what a Great Dad he was! He had one of the BIGGEST Hearts and Souls of any young man I know, I will never forget the last ride I gave him back in October and the things he talked about and some of the goals he had set and he MET them ...Nick was a Great person and cared about his family and friends....he Loved with his whole heart! You will never be forgotten Nick....and I will always remember how polite and kind hearted you were! Rip and know that you were Loved greatly !

Nick was an amazing father to our 2 boys. He loved them and was so proud of the little men they are becoming. They love their daddy. He was the strongest man I ever knew. I am so blessed to have spent many years of my life with him. He was the love of my life. Middle School sweethearts. He left behind 2 legacies that carry him everyday. We love you Nick and know that you are watching over us 3 right now.

Nick was a great young man I coached threw his little league football years. Nick was a young man that pushed himself to be a better player and was one of my favorite kids that I had enjoyed working with. He always have a grin on his face and made me feel he listen to everything that was taught to him. He was a studd! On the field. He was a great young man and friend. I will never forget him.
