Patricia Eves Moyer

Born on September 1st, 1938 in Mustoe, VA, she was the daughter of the late Clement Roosevelt and Iva McLauglin Waggy.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Waggy Furr; her daughter, Sharon Lynn Moyer Bass; as well as a grandson, Jeremy Bass.

On September 7th, 1955, she married Samuel “Pete” Moyer, who survives. They shared over 70 years together.

Patricia was a skilled assistant for the dental office of Dr. Charles Harper and later a dental assistant for Dr. John Worsley with the Waynesboro Health Department.

Survivors include a son, Richard Moyer (Tracey) of Grottoes, VA; and a daughter, Kimberly Moyer Driver of Davenport, FL. She was “Maw Patty” to six grandchildren, Chris Moyer (Laura Jane), Holly Hester (Daniel), Natalie Wheeler (Nick), Cole Moyer (Cedrice), and Joshua Driver (Lia). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Samuel, Oliver, and Amelia Moyer; Nora Hester, Jordan Sprouse, Zamyra Kenney-Moyer; Kai, Zahra, Zoe and Riyo Driver. In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Clement “Junior” Waggy, and William “Sonny” Waggy; a sister, Betty Waggy Humphries; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her life was a blessing, her memories a treasure. She was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the Hospice of the Shenandoah. Special thanks to Teresa Dingus, Kristina Jordan, Pastor Steve Henderson, Mary Scott Miller, and Nicole, for sharing their love and compassion in her last days.

A funeral service will be held at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home in Waynesboro on Monday, June 15th, 2026, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Levi Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Richard Moyer, Chris Moyer, Cole Moyer, Drew Cashatt, Daniel Waggy and Danny McCormick.

The family will receive friends at 12:00 PM on Monday, June 15th, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
