Obituary of Paul Ferrell "Andy" Anderson
Paul Ferrell “Andy” Anderson, 90, of 374 Hermitage Road, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born October 16, 1920 in Cleveland, West Virginia, the son of the late Robert L. and Dove Powers Anderson. On September 11, 1947 he married Madelyn Trainum. Mr. Anderson spent twenty years in the United States Navy. Following retirement from the Navy, he moved to Staunton, Virginia where he worked as a postman for fifteen years. Following the death of his first wife, he married Thelma M. Anderson who survives. In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Bernice Harper Buckhannon, Thelma Dever, Virginia Groves and three brothers, Oral Eugene Anderson, Dale Anderson and Don Anderson. In addition to his wife, survivors include two step-sons, Jim Anderson and his wife Janice of Geneva, Ohio, Don Boggs and his wife Donna of Hackers Valley, West Virginia, a step-daughter, Janice Enricco Patriarco and her husband Dale of Staunton, two sisters, Iris Ferrell of Woodstock, Helena Pault of Marbury, Maryland, eight step-grandchildren and nineteen step-great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Gene Arey officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park with military rites provided by Staunton VFW Post 2216. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. The family wishes to give special thanks to his caregivers Mandy Enricco, Dale Patriarco, Jody and Tracy of Legacy Hospice.
