Peggy Jean Mawyer Mawyer Cullen

She was born December 24, 1942 in Waynesboro, a daughter of Grover William and Iris Ellis Mawyer.

She was a member of Aero Drive Church of God.

Peggy was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many.

She will be remembered for her warm hospitality and her good cooking that was enjoyed by all.

She enjoyed the fellowship of her many sisters and brothers at Aero Drive Church of God.

Peggy loved being a grandma to her grandchildren and will especially be remembered for her love of children and the care she gave them.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Golladay, and a brother, Joseph Mawyer.

Survivors, in addition to her mother Iris, are her husband, Raymond Cullen, a son, Rodney Cullen and wife Ann Stuarts Draft, a daughter, Cindy Weaver and husband Mike of Waynesboro, a sister, Sue Brydge and husband Eldon “Bud” of Lyndhurst six grandchildren; Brooks, Hunter, and Lacey Cullen, Makenzie, Kyle and Brandon Weaver, two great-grandchildren; Braden Wiston, Alana Weaver, brother and sister-in-laws; Patsy and Eddie Burkholder, Larry Cullen, Don and Wanda Cullen, Betsy and Delmas Coffey.

She also leaves special friends Kentrina Zirkle and family, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 21, 2013 at Aero Church of God by Pastors Daniel W. Hines and Dale Raines. A private family burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

The casket will be open one hour prior to the service in the church.

Active pallbearers will be Brooks Cullen, Hunter Cullen, Larry Cullen, Don Cullen, Tony Golladay and Brian Brydge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lacey Cullen, Makenzie Weaver, Kyle Weaver, Brandon Weaver, Melissa Golladay, Justin Golladay, Emily Golladay, Robyn Brydge, Morgan Brydge, Taylor Moore, Lisa Jordan, Mary Jordan and Laura Cullen.

The family will receive friends from 4-8:00 PM Sunday, October 20, 2013 at her residence of 625 Mt Torrey Road, Lyndhurst.
