
He remained strong and determined to soldier on throughout his entire life.
Peyton was born to the late Harry and Thelma Frye. He moved to Jacksonville, FL. 35 years ago.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Liz Frye; son, Tony Frye, and a grandson, Garth Webb.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Judy Frye; daughters, Joan and Lynn Frye; son, JC Frye (Jojo); grandsons, Chris Frye (Kim), Jason and Carlo Conty; granddaughter, Larissa Charoubi, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Peyton retired from General Electric after 39 years of service. He was a devout Catholic and an active member of the Knights of Columbus (Fourth Degree-Patriotic) and the Food Bank of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Mandarin.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Riverview Cemetery with the Rev. Deacon David Kohut officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Frye, Brian Hutchinson, Carl Shull, Tony Floyd, Nick Hundley and Daryl Comer.
A rosary service will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St. Waynesboro. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 p.m.
