I remember Clyde coming to our home on Hwy 11 in Mint Spring area. He and my deceased ex-husband drove for Smith's Transfer together for many long years. I was married to Eldred Darwin Markle at the time. We had one daughter named Marie. Frank Dean used to visit often too as well as some of the other drivers too.
Rest in peace Clyde Dofflemyer!
My heartfelt condolences and love goes out to all his family and friends. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Pat,so sorry to hear that Quinlyn has passed away. I met him at the General’s baseball game several years ago, he was the first one to welcome me to the area (after we moved here), and to sit with him and “the guys “. I think I went, not only see the games, but to see Quin also! He liked to pick on me but I gave it right back! It surely will not be the same, as he was part of the baseball league, and I will definitely miss him! Sincerely, Melody Squires

I grew up living “just down the lane” from Quinlyn. He was always a kind man, offering a smile and his time as he would walk the lane by my childhood home. I purchased my living, loyal and sweet Lili (miniature schnauzer) from the Dofflemyer family & will be forever grateful! He was a blessing to many - his kindness will not be forgotten!
Respectfully,

Thoughts and prayers going out to the Dofflemyer family with the loss of Quinlyn! 🙏💗 He was like another dad to me growing up and I know he will b missed by so many!! I'll never forget all the times we went to watch the Statler Brothers on the 4th of July as well as the Waynesboro Generals play ball, not to mention all the other things we did together! He always pitched ball with me and one evening we were pitching and I caught it with my mouth, of course I had braces at the time and I spit blood for an hour! He said to me "That will teach u to get the glove n front of the ball" and began to laugh! I can still hear him laughing now! 🥰 We continued to throw for at least another hour. I'll never forget that as well as all the other memories I had growing up side by side not as just neighbors but as family...u all r family to me! All the paddle ball games n the front yard...all memories I will cherish forever!! Quinn and I hung out a lot when I was young, just as we all did! We had a lot of great times together and so many memories I'll never forget and will carry with me always! May God b with u all during ur time of loss & sorrow and comfort u during this difficult time! 😇 #SoManyMemories 💗 #GoneButNeverForgotten ✨

His smile...He sure could run fast playing church softball for many years...He never raised his voice that I remember...You could see at times that he was upset at something going on but I never knew him to say a bad thing about anyone...He is in heaven right now with loved ones who have gone before...He was faithful to church and family and loved both with a passion that can be difficult for some to understand in today's world...his marriage was indeed to his longtime soul mate Pat until death "do us part"...as it should be...He is all ready missed!
