Reuben Junior Smith

Born October 1, 1930, he was the son of the late Reuben and Edith Leona Finch Smith.

He was a member Lyndhurst United Methodist Church. He retired from the United States Air Force after twenty years of service, and was a member of the Stuarts Draft V.F.W. Post 9339.

He was an avid softball player, where he traveled and played during his career with the Air Force.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Smith.

Survivors include his son, Michael Smith and wife Irene of Littleton, CO., Teri Brasz and husband Bert of Lexington, four grandchildren, Nathan Brasz, Michael Noelle Brasz, Nicole Savoie, Zachary Smith, five great-grandchildren, as well as three brothers; Eugene Smith, Raymond Smith and Jack Smith.

A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with the Rev. Michael Pettry officiating.

Military rites will be provided by Stuarts Draft V.F.W. Post 9339.
