

GROTTOES
Richard Wayne Baugher, 50, of Grottoes, was taken suddenly to be with his Lord and his Mother on Friday afternoon, November 18, 2011. He was born on June 1, 1961, in Waynesboro, the son of Elwood Baugher and the late Mildred Baber Baugher. Richard was a member of Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren. He worked at Hershey Chocolate Company for 29 years. He enjoyed skiing, bowling and traveling. He was an avid University of Virginia fan and was a best friend to many. Survivors include his father, Elwood Baugher of Grottoes; two sisters, Joyce B. McDonaldson and her husband, Richard G., of Grottoes, and Ellen Baugher and her husband, Wade, of Elkton; four nieces; one nephew; four great-nieces; and seven great-nephews.
He is also survived by a special cousin, Darlene Wimer whom he considered as a sister. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Pastor Dan Wine officiating. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be his special friends at Hershey Chocolate Company, Bruce Fitzgerald, Frank Hendricks, Bill Ward, James Ott, Bob Johnson and Lewis Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Lindsey, Bruce Jones and Randy Hypes. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, c/o Darlene Wimer, 11 Belvidere Road, Crimora, VA 24431.
