He was born December 26, 1942, in Highland County, to the late William Floyd and Claire Marie (Snyder) Hatcher.
Robert retired as a custodian with the Augusta County Public School System.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Kesterson and a brother, William Hatcher.
Survivors include his wife, Judy (Rickman) Hatcher; daughter, Donna Darlington and her husband Douglas “Ray” Darlington of West Virginia; two sisters, Joyce Kelley and Jean Simmons both of Highland County.
He also leaves a special granddaughter, Misty Rae Darlington of Springhill, Florida and a number of nieces and nephews.
Following cremation there will be no services or visitation.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
