He was born December 31, 1933, a son of the late Henry James and Matilda Barbara (Fenberg) Ribbe.
Roger was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He retired in 1991 as a social worker from Western State Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Ribbe.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Fitzgerald and husband, J.R. of Verona, and Jenny May and husband, Tim of Goodview; two grandsons, Joel Brent Fitzgerald and Erin Blake Fitzgerald; a great grandson, Kamdyn Blake Fitzgerald; and a sister, Diane Powers.
Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes with Rev. Theresa Moore officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
