

Ruth Lucille (Campbell) Duncan, 86, of Waynesboro, passed away on Sunday September 1, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Duncan was born on October 18, 1926 in Lyndhurst, and was a daughter of the late Clem and Mary (Offenbacker) Campbell. Ruth worked for DuPont until her retirement in 1960. She loved visiting family, going camping, and listening to music. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many who will miss her.
On January 3, 1959 she married Martin Duncan who survives.
In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by two children, Anthony Duncan, Sr., and wife Patty of Waynesboro, Rita Zimmerman and partner Susan LeBlanc of Waynesboro; two step-children, Martin Duncan and wife Faye of Staunton, Robin Turner of Salisbury, NC; two sisters, Doris Hemp of Fishersville, Shirley Burkhead of Charlottesville; special grandchild, Mary Howdyshell; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by two sons, Martin Steven Duncan and Gary Dunaway; a daughter, Sonja Summers; three sisters, one step brother and one step sister.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at 1 PM at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastors Kemper Dean and Randy Blankenship officiating. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes to go in procession to the cemetery by 12:45 Wednesday.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers for the service will be Jacob Peters, Mark Clark, J.T. Armstrong, Bobby Davis, David Salzman, Kenny Craig, and Tyler Norman.
