Sandra Anette Myers

Sandy was born in Staunton, VA to Loretta (Michael) Myers and Charles Myers on October 28th, 1960. She loved balloons, taking rides to local parks and sights, enjoyed picnics, and “lived to eat.” She was able to travel with her caretakers, going to see the Ark Encounter, riding the Cass Railroad and taking a trip to Florida. Most of all, Sandy adored her daddy and loved spending time with her family.

Sandy was preceded in death by her birth mother, Loretta; as well as her special friend and caretaker, Norma Sumner; a brother, Robby Huffman, and a stepsister, Penny Craun.

Sandy is survived by her beloved daddy, Charles E. Myers and wife Patsi of Staunton; brothers, Danny Myers and wife Emilie of Waynesboro and Mike Myers of Stuarts Draft; sisters, Kim Beam and husband Steve of Stuarts Draft; and stepsisters, Mary Vassas and husband Rick of Triangle, VA, and Tina Huffman. Lastly, she is survived by her special friend and caretaker, Jim Sumner.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Oak Lawn Mausoleum & Memory Gardens with Pastor Jim Sumner officicating.

The family cannot overlook all the care and support given by all the staff at Kings Daughters Community Health and Rehab for the last several years of Sandy’s life. They would also like to offer a special thanks to the staff at Augusta Health for their care and compassion.
