Shannon Gayle Knox

Shannon Gayle Knox, 50, of Crimora passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. Born April 2, 1971 in Hazard, KY, she was the daughter of Bruce Vance, Jr. and Cara (Fagues) Pelfrey. Family meant everything to Shannon, and she greatly enjoyed cooking and spending time with them. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, she loved fishing and tending to her garden. She had a passion for creating arts and crafts. She will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, niece, cousin and friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Knox in 2010; grandfather, Elmer Fagues; and great-aunt, Lola Mae Combs. In addition to her parents, survivors include her daughter, Kayla McKenzie Knox of Waynesboro; significant other, Alan “Little Buck” Ellinger of Crimora; step-son, Isaac Ellinger of Crimora; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Following cremation, the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to Alan Ellinger, 24 Mountain Top Lane, Crimora, VA 24431 to assist the family with expenses.
